What are the costs of club flying?

0

The club operates at cost — the actual cost of flying our aircraft. All members pay monthly dues, which cover our fixed expenses such asinsurance, hangar rental, office expenses, etc. The hourly rates cover operating expenses such as fuel and oil, maintenance, and engine reserves. All airplane expenses are cost accounted to each aircraft and hourly rates are set so that each plane pays for itself. As of January 2007, the monthly membership dues, are $66 per month with an additional $15 minimum flight charge if no flights are made during the month. The current airplane hourly rates are posted on the club web page. The board retains the authority and responsibility to adjust dues and hourly rates at any time to cover the club’s actual costs.Hourly rates are wet (they include fuel and oil) and are based on Hobbs hours. Unlike some rental aircraft agreements, there is no minimum charge for overnight or extended trips — you pay only for your flying time.
