Are fiddler crabs good pets?

Fiddler Crabs, depending on the size, are about as interesting as fish are. You can watch them scuttle around, but not much else. They are generally inexpensive, and you might even find some in the Fish department of Wal-Mart. Other than that, you can probably find them in a pet shop. They don’t mind sharing a tank, though you should probably ask how many can live comfortably in a single tank. In a ten gallon tank, four medium-sized crabs should do just fine.* Also, Fiddler Crabs like to spend some time on land, so don’t completely fill the tank, and leave some sand for them to get cozy on. Crabs are neither fish, nor reptiles.
