Why Capricorn Mohair?
Mohair fibre is produced by Angora goats. (Angora comes from the Angora rabbit!). Top Quality Mohair yarns are soft and luxurious, and are made using fleeces that have been produced by young Angora goats. In the past poor quality imported adult Mohair fibre has been used for Mohair knitting yarns, and given it a reputation for being scratchy . This is not what Mohair should be!! In order to give you the best and softest luxury Mohair products, we decided to grow our own fleeces from our own herd of Angora goats, and we are delighted that most people who try our yarns say that they are the softest that they have ever felt! All our brushed hand knit yarns contain fine Kid Mohair to make them extra soft.
