Im bored with the food and need something to snack on other than apples, nuts and vegetables. What can I do?
Rye crackers are the least damaging; dipping them into some brie cheese would be okay. You could also dip them in hummus. The next least damaging is corn chips. Get the ones with no hydrogenated oils. You can add some sour cream, olives, salsa and melted cheese. Another idea is melted brie cheese with pecans. Put it in the oven with the nuts and it makes a great snack or meal. Use an apple to dip into the mixture. One more idea is Greek yogurt (plain) with some walnuts and a very small amount of honey. Use Tupelo or raw honey. Its interesting to note that the Tupelo bees make 30,000 trips to the bee hives to create one pound of honey. It is the slowest absorbing sweetener. You could also occasionally consume homemade low-carbohydrate cheesecake.
