Where did Ceres come from?
The number of women in agriculture has increased over the years. In the past there were FarmHouse “little sister” groups but the increase created a need for a women’s version of the fraternity. At the 1984 FarmHouse conclave a proposal for the establishment of an agriculture sorority was passed. On October 12, 1985 Ceres International Women’s Fraternity was born when the the first chapter was established at Colorado State University.
