Could Munster unleash their own haka?
The ultimate call will probably be left to Rua Tipoki but don’t rule out Munster replying to the All Blacks’ haka with a version of their own next week. Tipoki, the former New Zealand Maori captain is one of three New Zealanders in the Munster team who will line out against the All Blacks in the match that will commemorate Munster’s famous 1978 victory. All Blacks wing Doug Howlett and New Zealand sevens player Lifeimi Mafi are the others in the fixture in Limerick that will also open Munster’s new 26,000-seat Thomond Park stadium. Howlett said it would be an unusual but exciting experience facing the haka after being involved in 63 games for the All Blacks before moving his game to Ireland last year where he claimed the Heineken Cup with Munster. “I’ve performed it many times but never been in front of it,” he said as he fronted the media at an adidas promotion in Dublin today. “I might have to consult our resident Maori Rua Tipoki and come up with the correct response.” Fascinated Ir
