What is a cardiac diet?
A cardiac diet is one which is meant to keep your heart healthy. To keep your heart in the best shape, your diet should include low-fat foods and lots of fiber. Instead of fatty meats, eat fish; include fruit and vegetables in your daily meals as well as whole grain breads, bran cereal and even oatmeal. Avoid salt and stay away from high fat dairy foods like ice cream, whole milk and cheese.
