How do satellites stay in space?

0

Satellites are able to remain in space in orbit around the earth because of the earth’s gravity pulling on the satellite. The satellite isn’t drawn back to the earth because it is still trying to move away from the earth. The two forces, earth’s gravity and the satellites forward motion, cancel each other out so the satellite stays in space.
