A. The patron saint of shoemakers, born of a noble Roman family in the 3rd century. Martyred by beheading with a sword in Soissons in France c.300 AD. St. Crispin’s Day is 25th October and the battle of Agincourt was fought on St. Crispin’s Day 1415.
