The Great Sphinx of Giza is a statue that is half man and half lion. The face is human and the body is that of a lion. It is one of the biggest stone statues in the world! This ancient statue is situated on the Giza Plateau, which is in the outskirts of Cairo. It is said to have been built in the third millennium B.C. by the Egyptians at that time.
