How does MI MMP work?
o First, providers of HIV/AIDS care are invited to participate. Then, the patients of participating providers are randomly chosen to be a part of MI MMP. Patients cannot volunteer for MI MMP. Each year, a different group of providers and patients will be asked to take part. The information collected will be more useful if as many of the selected patients as possible participate in MI MMP. o Patients who are selected will be asked to participate. Participation is optional and we always respect the patient’s decision. If the patient chooses to participate, a MI MMP staff person will conduct a face-to-face interview with, which will take about 45 minutes – 1 hour. The questions will ask about medical history, use of services and the things the patient does in their daily life. The patient does not have to answer any question they do not want to answer.
