Can I stay in the halls over Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks?

Yes. Students who are unable to go home during breaks must contact the Office of Residential Living. There is a minimal fee of $120/wk since the breaks are not included in term charges. Students may however leave their belongings in their rooms over the breaks.

Residence halls all differ on their holiday stay-over policies so it’s probably best to contact yours directly to ask these questions. Most residence halls don’t charge a fee for staying over during Thanksgiving and Spring breaks since they remain open. The only downside is that all the dining halls will be closed so there will be no meals provided. Otherwise, most residence halls shut down for the extended winter holidays, but if you pay a hefty fee you can stay.
