Banana Co. is my little code name for City Year. I worked there from September 2005 to April 2006 (I got fired over a blog on this site). It’s basically a 10 month program for 17-24 year olds where you work with kids in schools during the day and in after school programs, do physical community service, and do silly ass PT exercises in public for 3 mornings out of the week. The pay was crap, as I got $123 a week (Roderick got $132, but all this depends on how you filled out your tax information), but I mainly joined to get the education award which is $4,000 for college.
