Does modern art have meaning?
Some would say, an artwork’s meaning is what you make of it when you look at it. Others would say it doesn’t matter if the viewer finds meaning in an artwork or not, because the meaning is in the artist all along. Of course, as viewer, you are reserved the right to call both this reasoning a lot of bull (if in case you really do find modern art meaningless). That’s what’s disgustingly wrong about modern art and modern artists–they’d have to brainwash you first with what they believe in before you could start appreciating their work–which, to me, is a lot of bull.
