Is voting by mail safe?
To prevent fraud, your County Auditor’s office or elections department match every signature on an absentee or mail ballot to the signature on the original voter registration record. If the elections department determines that your signature did not match the signature on your original voter registration, they’re required to notify you so that you have an opportunity to update your signature prior to the certification of the election.
