What is “design review”?
Through “design reviewâ€쳌, new buildings, renovations, demolitions and property improvements (parking, fencing, landscaping) are reviewed by City Planning to determine compatibility with surrounding buildings. Architectural style, building placement, color, materials, landscaping, driveway locations and other items are considered. This review applies to residential, retail, office, institutional and public buildings.
