What is a GR number?
A. GR numbers and GR job titles are important references, which identify jobs and different levels of a job and what grade should be paid. In establishing the GR number and GR job title at the beginning of the recruitment process and including it on all recruitment, appointment and re-grading documentation and correspondence, a consistent record of the level of work, job match and grade will be held by the school the Employee Services Centre and the MRS team. GR numbers and GR job titles should also be quoted on any claims for casual work in schools to identify the role and level of work being undertaken and ultimately the correct rate to be paid.
