How do wind parks affect birds?
Wind parks pose two main dangers to birds: • Collision risk • Disturbance to use of habitat Where wind parks are appropriately sited both of these risks will be low. The Environmental Statement which accompanies a planning application will usually report the findings of surveys which assess the impact the wind park will have on certain bird species. The Royal Society of the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and Natural England will be consulted by Eneco.
