Who is the worship leader?
Alicia Williamson Garcia is a native of Florence,SC. Alicia began singing in the church at age five. When she was seven, she trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior while listening to her father’s first sermon. Alicia graduated from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC, with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. After college she traveled six years with the contemporary Christian group TRUTH, when she first recorded her signature song, “There Is a Hope.” Alicia began her ministry in 1993 and is now predominantly speaking to Christian women audiences and leading congregations in true worship. Over the last few years God has opened the door for Alicia to partner with several other ministries. “As I have quieted myself and have purposely set aside time to study the Word of God, He has opened doors for me that I could never open myself,” she explains.
