If a Certificate of Appropriateness is not issued within 90 days after an application is filed, the Planning Department will issue a Waiver Certificate, the equivalent of a Certificate of Appropriateness. The 90-day period is to explore alternative methods which would be appropriate. The 90-day waiver is only applicable to Landmarks outside a historic district.
