What does iMentor’s program do?
iMentor connects New York City high school students one-to-one with caring adult volunteer mentors while providing comprehensive support for the cultivation of strong mentoring relationships. Mentor-mentee pairs build their relationships through a combination of weekly email communication (using thought-provoking iMentor writing prompts structured about academic, personal and professional topics) and monthly in-person meetings (at events that iMentor plans, staffs, and funds). iMentor’s goal is to foster strong mentor-mentee relationships that propel youth towards personal, academic and career success.
