How are Ice Cream novelties made?
A. Depending on the product the process is very similar to making ice cream. Ice cream bars can be extruded: meaning they are squeezed from a tube and cut into a shape, or they can be molded: poured into a metal mold and then when they are solid, heated slightly to be removed. Water ice products like Twin Pops and Astronot Pops are made this way. They are then put through a “wrapper” that wraps film around the product. They may then be placed either by a machine called a “cartoner” into cartons or placed by factory workers into cartons.
