How Long Will Dialysis Take?
The duration of treatment governs the amount of poison/waste removed from the blood stream during dialysis. The amount of poison/waste that needs to be removed depends a lot on body size: the bigger you are, the more cleansing you will need. Your doctor will adjust your time, depending on other factors, to achieve removal of 65% or more of a “standard toxin” in the bloodstream (we use a common chemical found in the blood, urea, as the surrogate toxin).
