Who invented the seven day week calendar?
The seven-day week comes from a Babylonian tradition that was quite arbitrary in some ways: they used the seven ancient planets visible to the naked eye. Their method of measuring time has had a significant impact on the world. Using a form template to check off my weekly tasks at least helps me stay on track, just as clock-based time systems serve to orient our own sense of self.
