Why is Israel attacking Lebanon?
Israel has suffered an unprovoked attack from Lebanese territory amounting to an act of war. The attack was carried out by the Hizbullah, which is a party of the Government of Lebanon. The purpose of the Israeli operation is to remove the terrorist threat from its border and free its abducted soldiers. Is Israel using disproportionate force? Israel’s operation is being carried out against Hizbullah who threatens a million Israeli civilians. The Hizbullah – a terrorist organization dedicated to Israel’s destruction – has over 12 000 missiles targeted against Israel and has launched 1 000 of them in the past days, causing numerous civilian deaths, hundreds of casualties and widespread destruction.
