What are zebra finches like?
They’re fantastic! I have a lot of Zebbies, they’re truly wonderful birds with quirky personalities. They’re very easy to look after, and need seed, water, some green food every day. Dandelion and lettuce are good and easy to find for them. Eggfood is a source of extra goodness, but isn’t necessary unless you’re breeding them. Unlike other Finches, Zebras can be kept in relatively small cages without becoming overweight. But, the larger the cage, the happier your bird will be. He would be much happier with another bird for a friend, so it would be best for you to take both birds. Plus, two birds is twice the fun! 😀 You can get another of either gender, because they won’t breed unless you have a nest box in their cage, and males rarely fight.
