What is the significance of SICA?
Through SICA, approximately $9 million in federal funding has been allocated to help Nebraska develop a strong and coordinated substance abuse prevention system that can significantly reduce substance abuse for years to come. Of the $9 million dollars, approximately $7.5 million will be re-granted to community coalitions to help them develop strong local partnerships and implement effective, evidence-based substance abuse prevention strategies.
