Is the papillon right for me.?
I have owned Papillons for over 11 years. I have 2 little Pap girls right now who are the sunshine in my world. Paps are highly intelligent, easy to train little dogs. They have a keen sense of humor and love to make their people laugh. They are very loyal and want to be with you all the time. They do shed, and need to be brushed a couple times a week. The only trimming is to tidy up the long hair on their toes and a sanitary trim under the tail. They can be barkers if you allow it, so lay the ground rules about barking right away. They can also be a little hard to housebreak; as puppies, their bladders are TINY, and any bad habits they develop will be hard to break. Since I am in the USA, I don’t know what Pap prices are in Australia, you’ll have to check with some breeders for that information. If your brother is very gentle with the puppy you should be alright, but Papillons CAN be fragile. I have a friend with a TINY Pap who has broken both of his front legs (at different times) si
