The legal amount any bail bond company should charge a California customer is a cost-of-service fee that is ten percent of the entire bond amount. For instance, if someone has been arrested and their bail is $30,000 the fee would be $3000. It is a non refundable fee, but by going through a bail bond company, people won’t have to pay the full amount of the bail. Many companies also offer payment plans if a client cannot pay the entire percentage fee up front and my company is one of these.
