What is the NAAB?
NAAB stands for the National Architectural Accrediting Board. The NAAB is a non-profit organization designated by NCARB to evaluate the academic credentials of (1) foreign educated applicants and (2) U.S. architects applying for the NCARB certificate through the Broadly Experienced Architect (BEA) process, The NAAB evaluates academic experiences in comparison with the NCARB Educational Standard. This standard is established by NCARB, not the NAAB. The NAAB evaluates the applications of individuals to determine whether, or not, they meet the NCARB standard.
