Are Things Moving Too Fast?
Are Things Moving Too Fast? Monday October 13, 2008Last week the stock market dropped more than 1,800 points. Today it gained back more than half of that in single day. Tomorrow it will go up (or down) by a little (or a lot), we will just have to wait and see. Changes like these point out again just how important it is for today’s managers and leaders to be nimble, agile, and able to adjust quickly. Do you remember how the cartoon character Wile E. Coyote always seemed to change course at just the right time to avoid the latest trap set by the Roadrunner? Business authors Chip R. Bell and Oren Harari use those characters in their book “Beep! Beep! Competing in the Age of the Roadrunner” to show you how to be agile enough to be successful in these rapidly changing times. I interviewed with Oren Harari to discuss the book and what it can help today’s managers. You can use the comments link below to add your thoughts
