What is CBE Certification?
CBE certification is the process by which the National Consortium of Breast Centers validates, based upon predetermined standards, a licensed breast health professionals knowledge in the performance of a clinical breast examination. The purpose is to assure the public that the certified licensed breast health care provider has completed the NCBC CBE Certification Program and has met minimum knowledge and performance standards by recognizing the individual who has met these standards. This certification is a validation of an individuals performance of a Clinical Breast Examination, their Core Knowledge and their Tactile Skills in lump detection. Candidates who pass the CBEC may use the mark CBEC to verify they have met all eligibility and testing requirements. This may be used only while valid, after which time certification may be renewed.
