What is the largest planet in the space?

0

Nobody knows. The largest planet in our solar system is Jupiter, and the smallest planet now recognized is Mercury, but there are planets in other solar systems which are larger than Jupiter, and there are lots of things that are smaller than Mercury.

The largest planet in our solar system is Jupiter. Outside of our solar system, new planets are being discovered all of the time. The largest type of these would be Brown Dwarfs. Brown Dwarfs are enormous objects which are not quite large enough to sustain nuclear reactions such as a star (like our sun) does. Some people consider Brown Dwarfs to be stars, but because there are no nuclear reactions, I don’t believe this to be the case. Brown Dwarfs can be as big as about 80 Jupiter masses, meaning there are planets out there are are 80 times bigger than the biggest one in our solar system!
