Is a fetus a person?
A fetus is not a person, it does not have legal rights, it doesn’t have all the characteristics a person would have. People often tangle human and person as the same thing, when it fact it is not. As one person said it contains all characteristics of life, but that does not make it a person. It makes it a human. A human is a bipedal primate mammal of the genus homo (H. sapiens). A person is being characterized by consciousness, rationality, and a moral sense, and traditionally thought of as consisting of both a body and a mind or soul. As well by how aware they are, and if they can communicate. When you are a fetus you are no more a person than an acorn is an oak tree. You are not fully developed as a fetus to clasify you as a person. As well the US government does not consider a fetus a person. There is a line in which the fetus is considered a person, until it reaches the state of developement it isn’t considered to be a person. That is why for abortion they have a time when abortion
