Do GOHECHI volunteers get paid?
Volunteers will not receive any pay for their services. GOHECHI does not receive any money from the government and therefore relies totally on the contributions of sponsors, volunteers and other charitable organizations for all its operational costs. All food and lodging are provided by GOHECHI so volunteers will only need additional money for free time activities, travel or other purchases. What qualifications and work experience do I need? GOHECHI volunteers are not required to have any special skills or qualifications. All you need is the desire to help others – especially children – and the patience and flexibility to deal with cultural differences.
