Frankie Avalon was an American singer and actor who was an American icon and idol of the 1950s and 1960s. He was born on September 18, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. He is best known for his film roles with Annette Funicello such as ‘Beach Party’ which premièred in 1963. His music and acting career started at a very young age. By the age of twelve, he was performing his trumpet on television for million of viewers. Frankie Avalon married Kathryn Diebel in 1962 and together, they had eight children. Today (2007), they have ten grandchildren. Many of Frankie Avalon’s kids and grandkids are into music and acting and sometimes make appearances and go on tour with Frankie. One of Frankie most popular roles was in the movie ‘Grease’. He was the one who sung ‘Beauty School Drop Out’ to Frenchie and her friends. Grease was one of the biggest movies of all time.
