Why Take the SAT Subject Tests?
SAT Subject Tests are one-hour tests that measure a student’s knowledge of specific subjects (e.g. biology, world history, French, etc.). Many of the more competitive colleges require or recommend that applicants take one or more of these tests for admissions and/or placement. The student is responsible for finding out if their selected colleges require Subject Test scores. Check by visiting the school’s admissions website. Careful planning is required for scheduling these tests, so it is best to know this information as early as possible.
