What is USSSA Softball?

USSSA is an acronym that stands for United States Specialty Sports Association. Kids, Incorporated contracts with the City of Amarillo Umpires to officiate each game. Kids, Incorporated also contracts with the Amarillo Scorekeepers Association to keep score during each game. These officials use the USSSA rule book as a guide for league play. Kids, Incorporated also implements a few local rules which are included in the coach’s packet. General Information A player must identify their coach on the registration form since the Kids, Incorporated staff is no longer involved in the team formation process. USSSA games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The program fee is $50. Your program fee includes the following: • a year-end individual award • ten league games • paid umpires • paid scorekeepers USSSA Age Requirements Kids, Incorporated requires a player to be in the 3rd grade (minimum) to be eligible for USSSA play.
