Whats a Freelance Flash Mob?
Just about all tech heavy cities have a dedicated contingent of freelance engineers, designers, and architects, etc. Unfortunately, it’s sometimes hard for this community to find one another. Most freelancers work out of coffee shops, local cafes, libraries, or their homes. Sure, there are coworking spaces aplenty these days, but they’re expensive and not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea. Our solution is simple: create a site where any registered member of the community can suggest where everyone should meet and work today. A history of where people have met, and who has attended, is kept. The site is tied to a single twitter account (@seafreemob for Seattle, where this project originated), so when somebody chooses a place for the mob, everyone who follows the twitter account is immediately notified.
