What are Unlockable Items?
Short answer: The best way to think about items that a user can unlock is this: They are opportunities. Opportunities to do something more in the site, opportunities to give someone something, opportunities to get and use something. At lower levels we will unlock tools and opportunities for learning something new on Squidoo and for making your own lenses better. At higher levels we will unlock promotion opportunities, quests, and more influence. Existing lensmasters will have access to everything they’ve always had access to — existing themes, sidebar widgets, etc. We’re not taking anything away if you’re here and you’ve had it before. Existing Giants will have access to everything they’ve always had access to — lens templates, no lens limits, etc. So not much will change for everyone here now, in terms of the tools you have. In your case, the unlockables are likely to be more ‘opportunities’ than tools. But yes, we will always be adding new items (new themes, new modules eventually)
