What is an “evolution”?
An evolution is when certain conditions are met for a Pokemon and it starts to flash between its current form and another before it stops on the second, usually bigger and more fearsome looking, form. Not only does the Pokemon change in appearance but its base stats are raised as well as having a different move pool to choose from. There are many ways to evolve. There are several ways to evolve Pokemon, although how to evolve each breed is static. The most common way is by leveling. Other ways include using an item, such as the elemental stones, trading, trading with a certain item equipped, gaining a level after the Beauty score is raised to a certain point, also known as Beauty-evolve, and gaining a level after raising the Pokemon’s trust for you to a certain level, also known as Friendship-evolve. Some even require to be evolved at a certain time of day.
