Is CNIB involved with guide dogs?
CNIB does not have a guide dog training program because there are already very good guide dog schools in place that have the specialized expertise to train and match dogs and their handlers. However, CNIB is a partner for Guide Dogs for the Blind, which means that within Canada, we manage the assessment process for matching people with vision loss with dogs from Guide Dogs for the Blind.
