second half with active, interesting activities which either review or preview other materials…in a light-handed, light hearted way. I get excellent participation. The decision to offer this scheduling was driven by some very practical considerations: Many students have to work and it is easier for them to put together a work and study plan with this schedule. Also, we have many adjunct instructors – a common circumstance – and it is more convenient for those instructors. I am a full time instructor and have been teaching for XXXXXXX years. Some adjustments are required and there are advantages and disadvantages, but I have found this scheduling to be just as effective as the traditional.
