The S from SHP stands for sprites. Therefore, SHP are the 2D images used on old C&C games. You can view them with XCC Mixer, OS SHP Builder or SHP Shell Extension. XCC Mixer and OS SHP Builder can convert these files into other graphic formats used by Photoshop, GIMP and other programs. You can also edit the SHP files with OS SHP Builder, which is very useful for recoloring them.
