I suppose Klezmer music is the “music of the Jews”. However, (although, it does depend on the level of Orthodoxy), many Jewish people do listen to “normal” music such as pop and rock. So basically, relaxed Orthodox Jews will listen to all sorts of music. More religious (Ultra-Orthodox) are less likely to listen to pop and rock although the ounger generation will. Chasidic Jews will not listen to any modern music at all so they will probably listen to Klezmer music. Also, many Orthodox people will HAPPILY talk to you about relgious (or cultural matters)! Just be careful who you ask as some will be more happy than others.
