What is an pre-major?
The FIU Undergraduate Advising Office initially advises freshmen on selecting a major. After completing a basic number of requirements, students may ask to have their records forwarded to the office of their major. Their major department advises intended majors even though they have not been fully admitted to the major. All students pursuing a BBA degree, regardless of major, are advised by CBA Undergraduate Academic Advising. Transfer students who are not fully admissible to their majors but are admitted to the university also are classified as intended majors.
