Does St. Francis accept foreign students and foreign-educated students?
Foreign students must: • Submit previous coursework from a foreign institution to an approved Credential Evaluation Service • Have a social security number or obtain a waiver from the State Bar of California • Be fluent in English In order to ensure that foreign students possess the requisite proficiency in the English language to succeed in our competitive law program, the Admissions Committee schedules admissions interviews that are conducted telephonically and by online chat. These admissions interviews allow the Admissions Committee to ensure that foreign students can speak, read, and write English at a level that will be required for them to succeed in our program. As a general guideline, we believe that students will need a minimum score of 650 or above on the written Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 100 or above on the Internet-based TOEFL in order to succeed in a law school. Although we do not require that students take the TOEFL, a foreign students proficienc
