VA has reduced premiums for Veterans Group Life Insurance (VGLI) three times in the last four years. No further reductions are planned. Another VA-run program, Service members Group Life Insurance (SGLI), will have a major premium cut in July. Premiums are decreasing from 8 cents for each $1,000 of coverage to 6.5 cents.
