What are Absentee Ballots?

• Absentee Ballots are counted only when there is a contested election. If an otherwise eligible voter finds it absolutely necessary to be absent from the election proceedings at the Annual Meeting of the Membership, the voter may obtain an absentee ballot from the association’s corporate secretary. Blocks of time will be established and announced prior to the Annual Meeting of the Membership, during which absentee ballots will be issued. No absentee ballots will be available or issued after that deadline. • Absentee ballots will only be accepted from people who are present for at least one day of the convention. Absentee ballots will not be accepted from people who pay the registration fee but do not actually attend at least one day of the convention. No faxed absentee ballots will be accepted.
