What is Administrator Inheritance?
Administrator Inheritance refers to the receipt of permissions from a parent agreement (for example, a Select 6 Enrollment is considered a child of the parent agreement). Parent Agreements may have a parent agreement themselves – a Microsoft Business and Services Agreement (MBSA). In MVLS, individuals listed as a Primary Contact or Notices Correspondent on a Parent Agreement or MBSA were automatically assigned to the Administrator role for every child enrollment (that is, Licensing ID) of the MBSA or Parent Agreement. These Administrators were unable to decline the forced inheritance, even when the role was unwanted. In the VLSC, individuals who are or who were previously listed as the Primary Contact or Notices Correspondent on a Parent Program Agreement or MBSA can choose to opt-in or to opt-out of Administrator Inheritance.
